A sleek, modernist retreat perched atop Dean Stone Drive in Missoula, this thoughtfully designed home was created for a couple seeking the ease of one-level living. Defined by a restrained material palette—vertical steel panels, tongue-and-groove wood, and white brick—the house embodies simplicity and function. Double stud walls and deep, insulated roof sections ensure exceptional energy efficiency, while its low, horizontal profile blends seamlessly with the landscape. Despite its modest footprint, the 10-foot-high interiors feel expansive, with natural maple floors, crisp white walls, and sweeping valley views.
